    El presente artículo trata de rastrear el retorno que se produjo desde el exilio republicano español durante la primera década de la posguerra europea. Para ello se ha realizado un estudio en profundidad de los fondos del Consejo Supremo de Justicia Militar, conservado en el Archivo General de la Administración de Alcalá de Henares. Este organismo procesó, entre 1947 y 1956, más de tres mil quinientas solicitudes firmadas por exiliados que deseaban saber si, en caso de retorno al hogar, pesaría sobre ellos algún tipo de responsabilidad penal. El análisis y la observación de estos datos –tanto en términos cuantitativos como cualitativos–, ofrecerá valiosa información sobre quiénes eran estos exiliados que se planteaban regresar y, asimismo, sobre cuál fue la reacción de las autoridades franquistas.

    This article tracks the Spanish Republican Exile return migration which took place during the first post-war decade in Europe. To this end an in-depth study has been conducted into the Supreme Council of Military Justice files, which are preserved in the General Administrative Archives repository, in Alcalá de Henares. This institution processed, between 1947 and 1956, more than three thousand five hundred applications signed by exiles who were hoping to know whether they were charged with any legal responsibility in the case of returning home. Observation through the analysis of the refereed data – both in quantitative and qualitative terms –, will provide useful information about the identity of these exiles who were planning homecoming and, moreover, about the reaction to it of the Spanish Francoist authorities.
