    El presente artículo pretende estudiar cómo el gesto de asomarse ha sido sensibilizado en las artes plásticas a partir del Romanticismo, concretamente en su representación en ventanas o balcones durante las vanguardias históricas. Considerando las ventanas como encuadres de la escisión, usando el término acuñado por Argullol, la sensibilización de este gesto será vista como la voluntad de trangredir el espacio asignado como propio, sea este humano o social. Esto es, el intento de superar la ineludible escisión que la ventana impone al individuo será en realidad el intento de acabar con el profundo solipsismo que acecha al ser contemporáneo.

    This article aims to study how the gesture of looking out has been sensitized in the plastic arts since Romanticism, specifically in its representation in windows or balconies during the historical avant-gardes. Considering windows as frames of the excision and using the term coined by Argullol, the awareness of this gesture is seen as the will to transgress their own human or social space assigned. That is, the attempt to overcome the inescapable excision that the window imposes on the individual will actually be the attempt to put an end the profound solipsism that lies in contemporary individuals.
