    En nuestro país desde hace décadas se ha hecho mención de nuestro carbón, incluso se ha invertido fuertes sumas de dinero tratando de estudiar este recurso, su acceso, explotación e industrialización. Entidades como INGEMMET, Minero Perú y SIDERPERÚ, invirtieron en proyectos como “La minería del Carbón”, “Transporte de sólidos por tuberías”, “Explotación del carbón de Oyón” y “Evaluación para la extracción del carbón del Santa”. Se ha tratado de investigar sobre su utilización y la forma de llevarlo hacia los centros de consumo, se ha proyectado hacer termoeléctricas en las zonas de producción para evitar su traslado, tratando de diseñar y transformar las máquinas existentes direccionando esto a la producción del carbón debido a que en el mercado nacional solo existen máquinas para la producción minera metálica, pero ¿qué resultados se ha tenido? En este artículo deseamos contestar a esta interrogante y opinar sobre el futuro de este recurso. En los trabajos de investigación se involucraron dos instituciones estatales INGEMMET y Minero Perú y una particular SIDERPERÚ, se contó como base en los estudios los trabajos realizados por el Ing. Julio Escudero Ratto, quien estudió el carbón del Perú, estudió profundamente el carbón del Santa y coordinó los trabajos hechos por el Fondo Alemán KFW a cargo de la división de Minería de INGEMMET, obteniendo algunos resultados que explicaremos en el presente artículo.

Attempts have been made to investigate its use and how you will toward the centers of consumption is projected to do power plants in production areas to prevent transfer, trying to design and transform existing machines directing this production of coal due to the domestic market there are only machines for metal mining, but what results have you had? In this article we want to answer this question and comment on the future of this resource. In two state research institutions and Minero Peru INGEMMET and SIDERPERÚ particularly engaged, was counted as studies based on the work done by Julio Escudero Ratto, who studied the carbon Peru, deeply studied coal from Santa and coordinated the work done by the German KFW Fund by dividing INGEMMET Mining, obtaining some results which we will explain in this article.
