    El medio ambiente provee el entorno necesario para la vida humana, flora y fauna. Los recursos naturales, patrimonio de la nación, constituyen los elementos materiales necesarios para satisfacer nuestros requerimientos de alimentación, vestido, vivienda, energía y demás productos de la población peruana actual pero también deben de garantizar el bienestar de las generaciones futuras. Estamos tomando prestado hoy lo que pertenece a los jóvenes y niños que nacerán en el Perú que deberán también tener lo necesario para su bienestar. El fin del Estado es proveer el Bien Común, es decir el Bienestar General. Es pues su principal deber proteger el medio ambiente, entorno esencial de la vida y los recursos naturales que satisfacen las necesidades vitales de todos los habitantes del Perú. En el Perú se ha consagrado la protección del medio ambiente desde el nivel más alto del ordenamiento jurídico al incluir su regulación en las cartas políticas de manera expresa, así lo comprobamos en la Constitución de 1979, 1993 y los artículos recientemente aprobados de la reforma de la Constitución. Esta corriente de la protección del medio ambiente al más alto nivel jurídico se puede también comprobar en una breve revisión de la legislación comparada de varias constituciones contemporáneas.

    The environment provides the necessary for human life , flora and fauna environment. Natural resources, national heritage , are the material elements necessary to meet our requirements of food, clothing , housing , energy and other products of the current Peruvian population but also must ensure the welfare of future generations . We are borrowing today that belongs to the youth and children who will be born in Peru also have to be necessary for their welfare. The purpose of the state is to provide the common good , ie the General Welfare. Because their primary duty is to protect the environment, essential life environment and natural resources that meet the vital needs of all the inhabitants of Peru . In Peru has enshrined the protection of the environment from the highest level of the legal system to include its regulation in the political cards explicitly , so we checked in the Constitution of 1979, 1993 and Articles recently approved reform the Constitution. This stream of environmental protection at the highest legal level can also be seen in a brief review of comparative legislation of several contemporary constitutions.
