    El presente trabajo pretende identificar, a través del análisis historiográfico de fuentes hemerográficas, las reacciones que las elecciones presidenciales en Chile de 1970, provocaron en la prensa española de la época, y la manera en que ésta dio a conocer este hecho. Además de relevarse la importancia de este hito en la historia de Chile, las fuentes evidencian su relación con el proceso histórico vivido en la península, convirtiéndose, además, en un acontecimiento trascendente en el contexto de la guerra fría.

    The present work tries to identify, through the historiographic analysis of newspaper sources, the reactions that the presidential elections in Chile in 1970 provoked in the Spanish press of the time, and the way in which it made this fact known. In addition to highlighting the importance of this milestone in the history of Chile, the sources show its relationship with the historical process experienced in the peninsula, also becoming a transcendent event in the context of the cold war.
