Eusebio Leal Spengler Con este trabajo de investigación se recontextualiza y aporta el significado a un elemento representativo de la cultura guanche, el cuerpo momificado de un antiguo habitante de la isla de Tenerife. La pista se había perdido desde finales del siglo XIX, llegado al siglo XX fuera del contexto que le correspondía. Llevada desde Tenerife hasta La Habana se hallaba en la colección del doctor Miguel Gordillo Almeida, natural de Santa María de Guía (Gran Canaria) que emigró al otro lado del Atlántico. Se presentan los documentos acre-ditativos del paso por las diferentes instituciones de la isla caribeña, añadiendo estos restos bioantropológicos a la lista de elementos del patrimonio que se encuentran fuera del archipiélago canario.

  With this research work it´s recontextualized and brings meaning to a representative element of the Guanche culture, the mummified body of an ancient inhabitant of the island of Tenerife. The track had been lost since the late 19th century, reaching the 20th century outside its right-handed context. Taken from Tenerife to Havana was in the collection of Dr. Miguel Gordillo Almeida, a native of Santa María de Guía (Gran Canaria) who emigrated across the Atlantic. Documents proving the passage through the different institutions of the Caribbean island are presented, adding these bioanthropological remains to the list of heritage elements that are outside the Canary archipelago.
