  • Resumen
    • Leonel Brizola returned from exile imposed by the military coup of 1964 in the year of 1979, for occasion of the law of “Anistia Política” in the opening of the background policy of the military regime. In Brasil, sought to recreate the “Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro” (PTB), however, the Electoral Tribunal decided to deliver the acronym to Ivete Vargas, forcing Brizola to create a new party, the Partido Democrático Trabalhista (PDT). After the creation of the party, Brizola made an effort to elect himself as governor for Rio de Janeiro, his new political territory. In this research, we used as source the newspaper O Globo, which also becomes object of study. We sought to understand the way that the newspaper created its discourse, analyzed according to the methodology proposed by speech analysis specialist Patrick Charaudeau.
