Resumen de História regional em perspectiva: a estância jesuítica de San Francisco Xavier.

• The present work intends to discuss, questions about regional history, from the Jesuit missions, in specific the historical region that is the Estancia and the reduction of São Francisco Xavier, aiming to define its methodological concepts, starting from a perspective of clarifying, what is region, and what defines regional history. Thus we use the qualitative methodology for the interpretation of the bibliographies employed.
