Resumen de Comprendiendo el malestar social de Chile desde la sociología del individuo

Han habido muchas lecturas asociadas al estallido social en Chile de 2019, la mayoría de ellas vinculadas a desigualdades e injusticias sociales. Proponemos aquí una lectura desde la sociología del individuo, comenzando por un debate dentro de la sociología, definiendo qué es la sociología del individuo, los aportes teóricos que tiene y, finalmente, explicamos tres argumentos para poder entender las causas del malestar social: a) un proceso de desinstitucionalización, b) un proceso de individualismo agéntico y c) el valor social y de (in) justicia social basado en el mérito.

There has been much research associated with the social outbreak in Chile in 2019, most of them are linked to social inequalities and injustices. We propose here a view from the sociology of the individual, beginning with a debate within sociology, defining what the sociology of the individual is, the theoretical contributions it has and finally we explain three arguments to understand the causes of the social outbreak: a) a process of deinstitutionalization, b) a process of agentic individualism and c) social value and social (in) justice based on merit.
