Resumen de Artes tradicionais do fazer: alimentos e patchwork em tramas

  A proposta desta discussão é com- preender aspectos da cultura e da sociedade brasileiras por meio de duas expressões tradicionais das artes do fazer, a culinária e a arte têxtil, unidas em telas de patchwork . Empreendeu-se uma investigação de cunho qualitativo para analisar telas da Exposição “Bra - sil, cheiros, temperos e sabores”, da 10ª Brazil Patchwork Show , realizada em 2016 em São Paulo. Identificou- se nessas obras a representação de alimentos provenientes de diferentes regiões do país. Tratava-se de alusões pictóricas a hábitos e costumes locais que subentendiam saberes e práticas culturais e possibilitavam identificar a riqueza simbólica do universo figura - do. A diversidade dos aromas e sabores de gêneros comestíveis retratados confirmou, portanto, a hipótese inicial da relevância dos alimentos repre - sentados para compreender aspectos socioculturais do Brasil

  The purpose of this discussion is to un - derstand aspects of Brazilian culture and society through two traditional expressions of the arts of making, culinary and textile arts, united in patchwork canvasses. A qualitative investigation analyzed can - vasses in the “Brazil, smells, seasonings, and flavors”exhibition, in the 10 th Brazil Patchwork Show, São Paulo, 2016. These works represent foods from different re - gions of the country. They were pictorial allusions to local habits and usages suppo - sing cultural knowledge and practices and made it possible to identify the symbolic richness of the universe as represented.

  The diversity of aromas and flavors of the foodstuff portrayed therefore confirmed the initial hypothesis about the relevance of those foods to understand Brazilian sociocultural aspects.
