El mundo natural real y mítico en la antigua Grecia: ¿un sentido medioambiental secundario?

    The presence and valuing of natural elements in literature and plastic repre - sentations (reliefs, vascular painting) is not abundant in ancient Greece, where human figure and anthropomorphization are the ground rule. Nevertheless, in spite of the relative shortage of natural motifs, these are very significant in the mythical Greek imagination, and not only as underlying or complementary motifs. Based on commentaries on textual sources and the analysis of a number of representations, especially vascular, this text highlights three aspects: the special interdependence between human beings and the environment; the mythical-sym - bolic value of natural, wild, or cultivated landscapes;elements of the environment, such as water, vegetation, especially trees, or relief, such as mountains.

    La presencia de elementos naturales y su valoración en la literatura y las representaciones plásticas (relieves, pintura vascular) no es abundante en un ámbito, el de la Grecia de la anti-güedad, en el que la figura humana y la antropomorfización se configuraron como regla fundamental. Sin embargo, a pesar de la relativa escasez de mo-tivos naturales, su significación en el marco de la imaginación mítica helena es relevante, y no solamente como mo-tivo subyacente o complementario. En este trabajo intentaremos revelar, a tra-vés del comentario de fuentes textuales y el análisis de algunas representacio-nes, sobre todo vasculares, la especial interdependencia entre el ser humano y el medioambiente, así como el valor mítico-simbólico de paisajes naturales, agrestes o cultivados, además de los elementos propios del mismo, como el agua, la vegetación, sobre todo ár-boles, o accidentes del relieve, como las montañas.
