    En este artículo se presentan los resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo fue conocer la incidencia del uso de TIC en el fortalecimiento de competencias matemáticas. Se desarrolla bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, preexperimental con Pretest y Postest y alcance correlacional, con la hipótesis que el uso de TIC favorece el aprendizaje de las matemáticas. Entre las conclusiones se plantea que en las TIC se encuentra una amplia gama de posibilidades que aumenta la motivación en los estudiantes, reduce errores conceptuales y procedimentales, además, mitiga el estigma alrededor de la complejidad de aprenderlas y así mejorar las competencias en el área.

    This article presents the result of research aimed at understanding the impact in the use of ICT in the strengthening of mathematical skills. The research is carried out under a quantitative approach, pre-experimental with Pretest and Postest and correlative scope, where is sought to test the hypothesis that the correct use of ICT favors mathematics learning. Among the conclusions it is that ICT finds a range of possibilities that increases motivation in students, reduces conceptual and procedural mistakes in learning mathematics and mitigates the stigma around the complexity of learning them and like thus to improve skills in the area.
