    Este trabajo pretende hacer un análisis de la situación actual sobre la participación de los deportistas transgénero o con alteraciones cromosómicas en las competiciones deportivas. Cierto es que a pesar del progreso llevado a cabo en las últimas décadas, tanto legal como socialmente, en la consecución de derechos por parte de este colectivo, queda mucho por hacer y sobre todo, por regular. En este estudio se analizarán, por un lado, casos reales de deportistas con alteraciones cromosómicas y por otro, el papel que las organizaciones nacionales e internacionales han tenido en la regulación de un tema tan actual y discutido.

    This work aims to make an analysis of the current situation regarding the participation of transgender athletes or those with chromosomal alterations in sports competitions. It is true that despite the progress made in recent decades, both legally and socially, in the achievement of rights by the LGTBI community, much remains to be done and above all, to regulate. For this reason, this study will analyze, on the one hand, real cases of chromosomally altered athletes and, on the other, the role that national and international organizations have had in regulating such a current and controversial issue.
