      Aplicar instrumentos psicológicos a una población, permite obtener datos que al ser procesados a través del uso de técnicas de análisis da como resultado información cuantitativa y cualitativa que determinan la forma adecuada de interactuar con dicha población. En este artículo se muestra el proceso realizado para caracterizar la población de los colegios arquidiocesanos de la ciudad de Cal, en el aprendizaje de competencias ciudadanas.

      Applying psychological instruments to a population allows obtaining data that, when processed through the use of analysis techniques, results in quantitative and qualitative information that determine the appropriate way to interact with said population. The analysis of behaviors based on citizen competencies can provide relevant information to help make proposals for action-oriented proposals and programs that serve as a starting point to guide the new generations. To achieve this purpose, an instrument was designed that contemplates each of the essential components of citizenship competencies, aimed at students in grade 11 of secondary education. The instrument designed includes adequate mechanisms for measuring this type of attitudes, such as the Likert scale, the semantic differential and the Guttman scale. As for the Likert scale, the responses and the direction of the statements (positive or negative) were quantified by means of weights. The designed instrument is established with scientific rigor, which consisted of a review by an expert scientist and validation using Cronbach's α. With regard to information processing, the google Collaboratory platform was used, this environment is worked through the Python programming language. With this, the most important data were obtained from the Statistical analysis. In the psychological characterization of the students, results were obtained such as: Students are democratic and always seek equal conditions to resolve everyday situations. In general, they reject events where discrimination against an individual is evidenced. Likewise, they have the ability to form working groups, but find it difficult to integrate new opinions expressed by others. Likewise, they show the facility to establish empathy and solve problems, they are honest and committed when fulfilling responsibilities, they have a positive attitude to grasp and assume norms. They have difficulty expressing their feelings verbally.In conclusion, the results of this research present information that can be used by the institution to propose projects orchairs of social projection that permeate the academic community of archdiocesan schools.
