Los visigodos dominaron la Península entre el siglo V y el principio del siglo VIII. Mantuvieron una coexistencia con la población autóctona tardo romana, sin integrarse.
La presencia visigoda por Santo Tomé está constatada por una excavación, hallazgos de varios broches y una prospección arqueológica. Lo más llamativo es el dibujo de uno de los broches: dos grifos afrontados bebiendo en la fuente de la vida de la resurrección.

The Visigoths ruled the Peninsula between the 5th century and the beginning of the 8th century. They maintained a coexistence with the late Roman autochthonous population, without integrating.
The Visigothic presence in Santo Tomé is confirmed by an excavation, findings of various brooches and an archaeological survey. The most striking thing is the drawing of one of the brooches: two taps facing each other drinking at the fountain of resurrection life.
