Resumen de Invisibilizaciones generadas por el arte contemporáneo en Centro América: enfoque anticapitalista

De manera crítica, se presentan las relaciones que establecen los agentes legitimadores de las artes plásticas y visuales que priorizan lo económico sobre los intereses artísticos y estéticos del arte contemporáneo. Se abordan inconvenientes de la invisibilización que surge al sobreponer lo mercantil a los valores culturales para especular sobre el arte, de acuerdo con los patrones del modo de producción capitalista actual. Con base en ello, se establece un contrapunto entre el trabajo de dos artistas contemporáneas, una de Guatemala y otra de Costa Rica, reconocidas en bienales y ferias comerciales pues satisfacen las dinámicas de la globalización financiera del momento, frente a otros dos artistas procedentes de Nicaragua y Costa Rica cuyas obras se excluyen e invisibilizan, aunque revisten una vital importancia para entender la producción artística reciente del contexto centroamericano.

In a critical manner, the relationships established by the legitimizing agents of the plastic and visual arts are presented, that prioritize the economic over the artistic and aesthetic interests of contemporary art. Disadvantages of the invisibility that arises when the mercantile is overlaped over cultural values to speculate on art are addressed, in accordance with the patterns of the current capitalist mode of production. Based on this, a counterpoint is established between the work of two contemporary artists, one from Guatemala and the other from Costa Rica, recognized in biennials and art fairs because they satisfy the dynamics of financial globalization of the moment, compared with two other artists from the Nicaragua and Cosra Rica, whose works are excluded and made invisible, although they are of vital importance for understanding recent artistic production in the Central American context.
