    La edad avanzada obra sobre el pensamiento de mujeres y hombres como un país al que se llega embalsamado en certezas y convicciones inamovibles. Los viejos acostumbran sentarse a repetir ante los jóvenes lo que suponen que desde años atrás ya tienen claro. Yo no he podido instalarme en este país. Todos los días me hago preguntas que arrojan dudas sobre lo que creo saber. Por este motivo, muy a mi pesar, hoy les traigo a ustedes sólo afirmaciones hipotéticas, preguntas e inquietudes. Pienso que es mi mejor forma de contribuir a un seminario y a un grupo de investigación que tiene por telón de fondo la constante sozobra del pensamiento inacabado en permanente construcción.

    Advanced age works on the thinking of women and men as a country that is embalmed in certainties and unshakable convictions. The old people usually sit and repeat before the young what they suppose that for years they already have clear. I have not been able to settle in this country. Every day I ask myself questions that cast doubt on what I think I know. For this reason, much to my regret, today I bring you only hypothetical statements, questions and concerns. I think it is my best way of contributing to a seminar and to a research group that has as a backdrop the constant undercurrent of unfinished thought in permanent construction.
