Resumen de Características de la geometría fractal de varios sistemas filonianos mineralizados del Macizo Hespérico. Su aplicación a la prospección. Parte I: Mineralizaciones de oro

Pablo Gumiel Martínez, Rocío Campos Egea, J.R. Hernández, C. Paredes-Bartolomé

  • This work is an atempt to characterize different vein sets with Au (Part I), and W, Sn, U, P (Part II) mineralizations of the Hercynian Massif, studying their interna/ organization and distribution. Onedimensional analysis of each vein sets has been carried out in Traverses. The fractal characteristics of the veins have been established with regard to the following fractal dimensions; vein thickness distribution dimension (D), spacing dimension (D) and information dimension (D). Vein thicknesses general/y conform to a power law distribution of the form N,=C,, where Nt is the number of veins with a thickness > t. D, values are in the range of 0.5 to 1.0, which correspond to the higher metal contents. This indicates systems of connected veins capables of supporting high fluid flux during their development. However D, . values in the range of 1.02 to 1.5 correspond to the unmineralized vein sets representing poorly connected fracture-networks. The application of this methodology may play an important role in prospectivity of vein-type deposits.
