Estudio analitico comparativo de los recipientes de vidrio de fabricacion nacional para aplicacion farmaceutica

  • Tests for: a) Powdered glass, USP XVI; b) Alkalinity limit, B. P. 1963, and c) Released alkalinity from glass, German Pharmacopoeia, were carried out on different kinds of Colombian manufactured glasses. Methods others than the former ones were also performed: a) Qualitative test with the "spectral" indicator; b) Quantitative titration of alkalinity against H2S04 0.01 N, in the presence of phenolphtalein; c) Potentiometric determination of pH variation. The glass samples tested were: Peldar and Owens containers as well as Jena Glass Co. and Kimble Co. ampules.
