La dinámica del turismo en España implica que continuamente sea necesario trazar nuevas metas y ofrecer versiones innovadoras en la gestión de productos y servicios a ofrecer en los diferentes destinos del país, tratando de satisfacer la exigente y cada vez más variada demanda turística; añadiendo que la industria sectorial se ha marcado entre sus principales retos: La diversificación de productos, el aumento del gasto medio del turista y la reducción de la estacionalidad (IDOM, 2011). Con base a esta realidad surge el interés por consolidar, a través del presente estudio comparativo, un Recurso Turístico, perteneciente a dos destinos maduros, con el objetivo de analizar cómo se gestiona a nivel turístico; nos referimos concretamente a la CATEDRAL de Barcelona y a la CATEDRAL de Mallorca, que tienen una serie de elementos y patrones en común.
The dynamics of the tourism in Spain involves continuously necessary trace new goals and to offer innovative versions in the management of products and services to offer in the different destinations of the country, trying to satisfy the demanding and increasingly more varied tourist demand; adding that the industry sector has been marked between its main challenges: The diversification of products, the increase of the average expense of the tourist and the reduction of the seasonal nature (IDOM, 2011). Based on this reality there arises the interest to consolidate, through the present comparative study, a Tourist Resource, belonging to two mature destinations, with the target to analyze how it is managed at tourist level, we refer specifically to the CATHEDRAL of Barcelona and of Majorca, which there has a series of elements and patterns together.
