Del altar al streaming: la explosión de eventos religiosos en redes sociales en tiempos de covid-19

    La situación de confinamiento físico por la pandemia del COVID-19 propicia una amplia producción y consumo de contenido religioso difundido a través de las plataformas digitales. El proceso de mediatización y las configuraciones del ritual provocan un cambio en el proceso de subjetivación del marco interpretativo que valida o desacredita las prácticas de la religión en el mundo online. A través de una metodología mixta, compuesta de la encuesta y la entrevista, el artículo explora las gratificaciones buscadas por quienes consumen contenido religioso en el contexto de la pandemia vía streaming, al tiempo que se analiza la adaptación de la institución religiosa en materia de comunicación y la configuración en la construcción narrativa del ritual. Los resultados permiten observar una ampliación de los marcos interpretativos que dan pie a un proceso de adaptación por parte de feligreses convertidos en usuarios y las instituciones, producto de un contexto determinado, al tiempo que se observa una modificación del ritual a partir de la construcción narrativa para la difusión de contenidos en línea.

    The situation of physical confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic fosters a wide production and consumption of religious content disseminated through digital,platforms. The process of mediatization and the configurations of the ritual cause a change in the process of subjectivation of the interpretive framework that validates or discredits the practices of religion in the online world. Through a mixed methodology, made up of the survey and the interview, the article explores the gratifications sought by those who consume religious content in the context of the pandemic via streaming, while analyzing the adaptation of the religious institution in matters of communication. and the configuration in the narrative construction of the ritual. The results allow us to observe an expansion of the interpretive frameworks that give rise to a process of adaptation by parishioners turned into users and institutions, product of a given context, while observing a modification of the ritual from the narrative construction for the dissemination of online content.
