Resumen de A “Noite Africana” Chegou Ao “País das Palmeiras”: A apropriação do negro escravizado no poema Martim Cererê

  In this article, we will discuss how Cassiano Ricardo appropriated the Brazilian slave historical past to compose his poem Martim Cererê (1927). In order to understand this appropriation, we will conduct a comparative analysis between the versions of this poem based on a question: the understanding of the role of the black in the formation of national identity and society. In tracing this path, we will defend the need to pay attention to the relationship between the author and his work taking into account the conceptions of Roger Chartier (2002), as well as to think about the literary field from the positions of Pierre Bourdieu (2012). We will see that the different representations of black people in this poem were marked by negativity and the distortion of their physical and spiritual characteristics. In this sense, this work was guided by the historical perspective of the text and the complexity of the work and thus we will understand the negative ways in which the enslaved African was appropriated in this literary work.

  Nesse artigo, discutiremos como Cassiano Ricardo apropriou-se do passado histórico escravocrata brasileiro para compor seu poema Martim Cererê (1927). Para entendermos essa apropriação, realizaremos uma análise comparativa entre as versões desse poema a partir de um problema: o entendimento do papel do negro na formação da identidade nacional e na sociedade. Ao traçar esse caminho, defenderemos a necessidade de dar atenção à relação entre o autor e sua obra levando em conta as concepções de Roger Chartier (2002), assim como pensando o campo literário a partir das posições de Pierre Bourdieu (2012). Veremos que as diferentes representações do negro neste poema foram marcadas pela negatividade e pela distorção de suas características físicas e espirituais. Nesse sentido, este trabalho foi pautado pela perspectiva histórica do texto e na complexidade da obra, o que nos permite compreender as formas negativas de como o africano escravizado foi apropriado nesta obra literária.
