Indagar sobre lo propio desde la otredad: retrospectiva de egresados de una universidad intercultural sobre sus procesos de investigación

    El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el posicionamiento que en retrospectiva expresan egresados indígenas de la Universidad Veracruzana Intercultural (UVI) en México ante y para sus procesos de investigación en sus regiones, identificando la emergencia de subjetividades que implican tanto extrañamiento como su autoafirmación como miembros de las comunidades donde investigan. Esta subjetividad ambivalente ha generado formas diferenciadas de asumirse como investigadores, que reconocen o no la importancia de los saberes propios para la construcción y aplicación de conocimiento. Se entrevistó a egresados de esa universidad, eligiendo a once que han continuado su formación en posgrados y que han seguido involucrados en procesos de investigación. Se encontró que su formación en la licenciatura en Gestión Intercultural para el Desarrollo está fuertemente influida por un enfoque etnográfico que coadyuva al desarrollo de un extrañamiento de sus propias comunidades, y que, si bien reconocen saberes propios, algunos consideran necesario aprender las formas “académicas” de interactuar y comunicarse con los actores comunitarios y, en general, aluden a la necesidad de recurrir a teorías científicas para desarrollar sus investigaciones.

    The objective of this article is to analyze the positioning that, in retrospect, indigenous graduates of the Universidad Veracruzana Intercultural (UVI) in Mexico express about their research processes in their regions, identifying the emergence of subjectivities that involve both estrangement and self-affirmation as members of the communities where they investigate. This ambivalent subjectivity has generated differentiated ways of assuming themselves as researchers, who recognize or not the importance of their own knowledge for the construction and application of knowledge. Graduates of this University were interviewed, choosing eleven who have continued their postgraduate training and who have remained involved in research processes. It was found that their training in the Bachelor Degree in Intercultural Management for Development is strongly influenced by an ethnographic approach that contributes to the development of an estrangement on their own communities, and although they recognize their own knowledge, some consider it necessary to learn the “academic” ways of interacting and communicating with community actors, and, in general, refer to the need to resort to scientific theories to develop their research.
