    Durante los últimos años se han venido desarrollando investigaciones  en el  Santuario Histórico-Parque Arqueológico Nacional de Machupicchu (SHM-PANM) de manera  científica y constante, producto de ese trabajo se publica MACHUPICCHU,  una  compilación histórica - arqueológica de 39 artículos, que publica  la Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura de Cusco. La mayor parte de los textos son fruto de las investigaciones desarrolladas en el marco del Programa de Investigaciones Arqueológicas e Interdisciplinarias en el Santuario Histórico de Machupicchu, entre los años 2013 y 2017. Lo relevante de esta publicación es  dar a conocer que el Santuario está compuesto por cerca de 60 monumentos, incluyendo andenes, centros ceremoniales, caminos, canales y otras muestras arquitectónicas. Dada la dificultad de reseñar todos los artículos, nos referiremos sólo a los que consideramos más representativos.

    During the last years, investigations have been carried out in the Historic Sanctuary-National Archaeological Park of Machupicchu (SHM-PANM) in a scientific and constant way, as a result of this work, MACHUPICCHU is published, a historical-archaeological compilation of 39 articles, which publishes the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco. Most of the texts are the result of research carried out within the framework of the Archaeological and Interdisciplinary Research Program in the Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu, between the years 2013 and 2017. What is relevant about this publication is to make it known that the Sanctuary is composed of through about 60 monuments, including platforms, ceremonial centers, roads, canals and other architectural samples. Given the difficulty of reviewing all the articles, we will refer only to those that we consider to be the most representative.
