Resumen de El Racó dels Calvos, una àrea d’interés botànic a la comarca dels Ports

Es dóna a conèixer un nou punt d’interés botànic per a la comarca dels Ports, el Racó dels Calvos, molt pròxim a la localitat de Vilafranca. Un espai natural amb unes característiques topogràfiques, edafològiques, litològi-ques i microclimàtiques molt particulars, que han generat i preservat com a vegetació actual una roureda de roure valencià o gal·ler en unes condicions òptimes. Roureda que pertany a la sèrie supramediterrània basòfila subhumida: Violo willkommii-Querceto fagineae sigmetum, acompanyada per les comunitats subserials que la substitueixen, resultat del grau d’antropització. Entre els tàxons vegetals d’aquest indret, destaquem alguns d’ells per la seua escassa presència a la Comunitat Valenciana. El bon estat de conservació dels tàxons florístics i sintàxons fitosociològics, junt amb la seua fra-gilitat i risc de vulnerabilitat, el fan mereixedor d’una protecció i preservació eficaç des dels punts de vista bio-genètic, florístic, fitosociològic, ecològic i paisatgístic.

We present a new site of botanical interest for Els Ports region, the Racó dels Calvos, very close to the town of Vilafranca. A natural space with very particular topographic, edaphological, lithological and microclimatic characteristics that have generated and preserved an Iberian gall oak grove in optimal conditions. This gall oak grove belongs to the supramediterranean basophilous subhumid series: Violo willkommii-Querceto fagineae sigmetum, accompanied by the subserial communities that replace it, as a result of anthropisation.We highlight some of the plant taxa found here due to their great scarcity in the Valencian Community. The good state of conservation of the floristic and phytosociological taxa, together with their fragility and vulne-rability, make it worthy of effective protection and preservation from a biogenetic, floristic, phytosociological, ecological and landscape point of view.
