    El objetivo general del estudio consistió endescribir la labor de Héctor Eugenio Paz Alomar como periodista investigador y fotorreportero en el semanario “Invasor”, durante el período de 1979 al 2019. Se empleó el método biográfico, los procedimientos de historia de vida y como técnicas la revisión bibliográfica documental y la entrevista en profundidad. La investigación permitió conocer el desempeño profesional de Héctor Paz Alomar como una de las figuras más relevantes del periodismo de investigación y la fotografía de prensa en Ciego de Ávila. Se presenta como resultado una descripción de su labor periodística.

    The general objective of the study was to describe the journalistic work of Héctor Eugenio Paz Alomar as an investigative journalist and photojournalist in the weekly INVASOR, during the period from 1979 to 2019. The biographical method, history of life procedure, and as a technique, the documentary bibliographic review, was used. The investigation allowed to know the professional performance of Héctor Paz Alomar as one of the most relevantfigures of investigative journalism andpress photography in Ciego de Ávila. As a result, a description of the journalist work is presented.
