    En la siguiente entrevista, Shirley Campbell Barr nos da su opinión sobre algunos conceptos clave para el desarrollo de los estudios sobre la relación entre literatura y afrodescendencia en Centroamérica. Desde una posición que la ve interesada como poeta y activista, Campbell Barr reivindica para toda la comunidad afrodescendiente la oportunidad de reconocerse en una historia y en una imagen que incluyen la memoria y la perspectiva de la comunidad afrodescendiente. Al mismo tiempo, señala cuáles han sido las conquistas conseguidas por esta comunidad hasta ahora y delinea la condición actual del contexto literario centroamericano por lo que concierne la literatura que se produce en el marco de la afrodescendencia.

    In the following interview, Shirley Campbell Barr give us her opinion about some key concepts for the development of the studies about literature and afro-descendance in Central America. From a position that interests her as a poet and an activist, Campbell Barr defends the opportunity by which all the afro-descendant community should recognize itself in a history and image that include memories and perspective of the afro-descendants community. At the same time, she points out which have been the goals reached out by this community until now, and draws up briefly the condition of the Central American literary context as far it concerns the literature produced in the afro-descendant sphere.
