  Este artículo estudia los retos y las oportunidades a los que se enfrentan las start-ups españolas comparándolas con empresas ya establecidas y con start-ups internacionales.
  
  En primer lugar, se analizan los elementos característicos de las start-ups que suponen ventajas y desventajas frente a otros modelos de negocio. En segundo lugar, se comparan start-ups españolas y europeas según el nivel de riqueza y el acceso a financiación.
  
  Y, en tercer lugar, se detalla la situación del ecosistema español en función de diferentes variables a través de un análisis descriptivo y de la relación entre las características y su valoración de mercado.

  This article studies the challenges and opportunities Spanish start-ups face, comparing them with already established companies and with international start-ups.
  
  First, we analyse the elements of start-ups that represent advantages and disadvantages compared to other business models. Second, Spanish and European start-ups are compared according to the level of wealth and access to financing. Third, the situation of the Spanish ecosystem is detailed according to different variables through descriptive analysis and the relationship between the characteristics and their market valuation
