Resumen de La marina valenciana en la baja edad media: Una bibliografía

  La proliferación de trabajos relativos al mundo marítimo valenciano durante la Edad Media ha permitido ampliar nuestros conocimientos sobre esta materia. Si hace algunos años era imposible tener una perspectiva de la navegación en Valencia, ahora podemos hacernos una idea ajustada sobre ese tema. Es cierto que será necesario ampliar determinadas facetas para iluminar un campo cuyas dimensiones ya somos capaces de intuir. No obstante, restan por aclarar cuestiones que solamente salen a la luz exponiendo la nómina bibliográfica de nuestros conocimientos generales. Esta bibliografía propone dos iniciativas: la profundización en el estudio de determinados aspectos que son todavía flancos historiográficos débiles, y la posibilidad de acometer un estudio con aspiraciones globales sobre la materia marítima valenciana medieval.

  The proliferation of new articles, partial works and monographs, related to the world Valencian maritime trade, during the Middle Ages, has greatly expanded our knowledge on this matter. If a few years ago it was impossible to have a minimal perspective on the characteristics of navigation in Valencia, now we can get a relatively accurate idea on that subject.

  It is true that it will still be necessary to expand certain facets to illuminate a field of which we are already able to intuit its most important dimensions and specifications. Nevertheless, It still remains to clarify issues that only come to light by exposing the bibliographic list of our general knowledge, a task that we have tackled here. Thus this bibliography proposes two specific initiatives: the deepening of the study of certain aspects that are still weak historiographic flanks, on the one hand, and, on the other, the possibility of undertaking a study with global aspirations, which exposes our knowledge on Valencian naval and maritime matters medieval.
