Resumen de La violencia contra las mujeres en la pareja: principales perspectivas desde la psicología

En el presente escrito se realiza un análisis actualizado e integral de la violencia contra las mujeres en la pareja. Se define el concepto y se exponen datos estadísticos en el contexto nacional e internacional en aras de identificar el fenómeno y comprender su relevancia actual. Se explican detalladamente los modelos teóricos imperantes en la psicología para su abordaje así como las principales conclusiones de las investigaciones realizadas en el tema, destacándose sus contribuciones y limitaciones. Finalmente se exponen las necesidades y los posibles rumbos que podrá tomar la investigación en función a buscar la erradicación de la violencia contra las mujeres en la pareja.

The current paper carries out an updated and comprehensive analysis of intimate partner violence. It provides definitions of the concept and exposes statistical data in the national and international context to identify the phenomenon and understand its current relevance. It explains in detail the theoretical models prevailing in psychology for their approach, as well as the main conclusions of the research in the subject, highlighting their contributions and limitations. Finally, it exposes the needs and possible directions that the investigation may take, to seek the eradication of violence against women in the intimate relationship.
