  La vigilancia de la salud nos aporta el conocimiento de la salud del trabajador y nos permite evaluar la idoneidad y compatibilidad entre las condiciones psicofísicas de este y las características del puesto de trabajo que va a desempeñar. Pero además, la batería de pruebas que acompañan a los protocolos nos pueden permitir el realizar diagnósticos preventivos sobre la parición de determinadas patologías, lo que redundaría en una menor frecuencia de estas y que, en caso de aparición, tengan mejor pronóstico y tratamiento por ser detectadas de forma más temprana.
