    El Departamento de Antigüedades Egipcias y Oriente Próximo del Museo Arqueológico Nacional guarda en sus fondos un conjunto de lucernas con decoración «tipo rana» procedentes de las distintas excavaciones arqueológicas españolas llevadas a cabo en los años sesenta del siglo pasado en el yacimiento de Heracleópolis Magna (Ehnasya el-Medina, Egipto). Este tipo de objetos, característicos del país del Nilo, y fechados entre finales del siglo ii d. C. y comienzos del v, son un fiel reflejo de las antiguas creencias egipcias en la inmortalidad y en el renacimiento a una nueva vida

    The department of the Egyptian and Near East Antiquities of the Museo Arqueológico Nacional has a set of lamps with decoration of the «frog type» from the spanish archaeological excavations carried out in the 1960s in the archaeological site of Herakleopolis Magna (Ehnasya el-Medina, Egypt). This kind of objects, which are unique to the country of the Nile and date from between the end of the 2nd century A. D. and the beginning of the 5th century are a faithful reflection of the Egyptian ancient beliefs in the Immortality and the Rebirth to a new life.
