El actual estudio, tuvo como propósito analizar lainversión en los niveles de competitividad y productividad de la industria manufactura intermedia en Honduras. Se fundamentó principalmente en los postulados teóricos Adam Smit, David Ricardo,J.S. Mill, Ivancevich Y Lorenzi,Enrighty contrarrestar los axiomas de las teorías de Gary HamelC.K. Prahalady Michael Porter con respecto a la manufactura Hondureña. El presente artículo muestra eldesempeño económico, el mercado competitvo y resume las políticas gubernamentales recientes, proporcionando recomendaciones adicionales para contribuir a la conversación sobre cómo mitigar los efectos negativos que ha causado la pandemia de la COVID-19. El aspecto metodológico abordado en este estudio fue un enfoque cualitativo de carácter descriptivo y documental, lo que permitió analizar la inversión del capital humano en la industria automotriz hondureña y su efecto con la llegada del Covid-19. Los resultados muestran la variación interanual de los porcentajes de desarrollo de competitividad en Honduras durante el período observado. Lo expuesto en este documento pone de manifiesto la importancia de alinear los programas de gobierno a este tipo de industrias tecnológicas a las necesidades del sector, particularmente aquellas relativas a la competitividady productividad de manera que los individuos y organizaciones puedan poner a su disposición los recursos que les permitan fortalecer ese tipo de capacidades.

The current study was aimed at analyzing investment in the levels of competitiveness and productivity of the intermediate manufacturing industry in Honduras. It was based mainly on the theoretical postulates Adam Smit, David Ricardo, J.S. Mill, Ivancevich & Lorenzi, Enright and counter the axioms of Gary Hamel & C.K. Prahalad and Michael Porter regarding Honduran manufacturing. This article shows the economic performance, the competitive market, and summarizes recent government policies, providing additional recommendations to contribute to the conversation on how to mitigate the negative effects that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused. The methodological aspect addressed in this study was a qualitative, descriptive and documentary approach, which made it possible to analyze the investment of human capital in the Honduran automotive industry and its effect with the arrival of Covid-19. The results show the interannual variation of the percentages of competitiveness development in Honduras during the observed period. What is stated in this document highlights the importance of aligning government programs for this type of technology industries to the needs of the sector, particularly those related to competitiveness and productivity so that individuals and organizations can make resources available to them. that allow them to strengthen this type of capacity.
