    La invención del saxofón trajo consigo la necesidad de asentar unas bases con el fin de enseñar a interpretar este joven instrumento. Fue el propio inventor, Adolphe Sax, quien comenzó a difundirlo, pero el legado de propagar su enseñanza recayó sobre Marcel Mule. Este se convirtió en el primer profesor de saxofón del Conservatorio de París, institución donde el instrumento se integró por primera vez con un carácter permanente en 1942. Así, Mule estableció una metodología de la enseñanza sin precedentes que originó la fundamentación de la escuela francesa del saxofón. Este sistema de enseñanza fue transmitido de alumno en alumno, pasando por Daniel Deffayet y llegando hasta Claude Delangle, actual profesor del conservatorio. Este estudio pretende aportar a la comunidad académico-científica un seguimiento de la evolución de esta escuela a través de su metodología de la enseñanza. Asimismo, se pretende acotar la importancia de la relación profesor-alumno establecida entre los tres profesores para comprender mejor la continuidad producida en el sistema pedagógico, todo ello atendiendo a los aspectos básicos de sus enseñanzas. La metodología de nuestra investigación se centra en herramientas de cariz cualitativo, tomando especial relevancia la entrevista realizada con el actual adalid de la escuela francesa del saxofón.

    The invention of the saxophone brought the need to settle some bases with the aim of teaching this young instrument. It was its own inventor, Adolphe Sax, who began to spread it, but the legacy of its teaching fell on Marcel Mule. He became the first saxophone teacher of the Paris Conservatoire, institution where the instrument was first introduced with a permanent character in 1942. Thus, Mule stablished a teaching methodology without precedents that built the foundation of the French Saxophone School. This teaching was transmitted among the students, including from Daniel Deffayet to Claude Delangle, the current teacher of the conservatory.

    This research pretends to contribute to the academic and scientific community with a tracing of the evolution of this school through its teaching methodology. Besides, it pretends to delimit the importance of the teacher-student relationship stablished between the three teachers to understand in a better way the continuity produced in the pedagogic method, taking into account the basic aspects of their teachings. The methodology of our research is based on qualitative tools, taking special relevance the interview with the current teacher of the French Saxophone School.
