    The division of housework has been the object of investigations in order to verify how the gender relations in families occur. The literature on the subject focused mainly on heterosexual unions and showed how the asymmetrical relations in this family model are still crossed by gender. Few research, however, have investigated this aspect in LGBT unions. This article aims to discuss the results of some work on LGBT unions, in order to reflect on the division of domestic work in these relations and on factors that may influence the assignment of tasks.

    A divisão do trabalho doméstico tem sido alvo de investigações com o intuito de verificar como acontecem as relações de gênero nas famílias. A bibliografia relativa ao tema se debruçou principalmente sobre uniões heterossexuais e demonstrou o quanto as relações assimétricas nesse modelo familiar ainda são atravessadas pelo gênero. Poucas pesquisas, no entanto, investigaram esse aspecto em uniões LGBT. Esse artigo tem o intuito de discutir os resultados de alguns trabalhos sobre uniões LGBT, de modo a trazer reflexões de como ocorre a divisão do trabalho doméstico nessas relações e quais os fatores que podem influenciar a atribuição de tarefas.
