    The current article has by objective understand the notion of gender and feminine imaginary of the 20th century, from analyzes realized in the publications present in Jornal das Moças, observing so, the permanence and change between the 20th and 21st centuries, based on readings of male authors and female authors that study the thematic. Highlighting that the magazines of 20th century influenced the maintenance of stereotyped behaviors, ratifying the separation among the genders and reincorcingthe female roles like mother, wife and lady in the society. In the transition between the 20th and 21st centuries, the woman faced many conflicts to achieve the social equality, got herself insert in the job market, in the politics, conquered more liberty in the relationships, among others. However, many women still in disproportionate situation about the men in the atual society. We don't disregard the advences between the genders, but part of the society remains grounded in the conservatism and patriarchy of 20th century, that hind the relations and perpetuate the inequalities.

    O presente artigo tem por objetivo compreender a noção de gênero e imaginário feminino do século XX, a partir de análises realizadas nas publicações presentes no Jornal das Moças, observando assim, as permanências e mudanças entre os séculos XX e XXI, com base em leituras de autores e autoras que estudam a temática. Destacando que as revistas do século XX influenciavam a manutenção de comportamentos estereotipados, ratificando a separação entre os gêneros e reforçando os papéis femininos como mãe, esposa e dama na sociedade. Na transição entre os séculos XX e XXI, a mulher enfrentou muitas lutas para alcançar a igualdade social, conseguiu inserir-se no mercado de trabalho, na política, conquistou mais liberdade nos relacionamentos, entre outros.  No entanto, muitas mulheres, ainda, encontram-se em situação desproporcional em relação ao homem na sociedade atual. Não desconsideramos os avanços entre os gêneros, mas parte da sociedade permanece fundamentada no conservadorismo e patriarcado do século XX, que dificultam as relações e perpetuam as desigualdades.
