The text on screen, presents a study of the unusual as an aesthetic effect in the construction of the narrative "The naked woman" (2005), by Adelice Souza. From the strategies inserted by the author, the reception, interpretation and imaginative capacity of the reader will define whether this is a narrative with an unusual effect or not. Once the presence of the unusual is detected in the text by means of a succession of signs left by the author to provoke such an effect, even if they may be ambiguous, such clues are there because the author has put them and it is up to the reader to identify them.

O texto em tela apresenta um estudo do insólito enquanto efeito estético na construção da narrativa “A mulher nua” (2005), de Adelice Souza. A partir de estratégias inseridas pela autora, a recepção, a interpretação e a capacidade imaginativa do leitor vão definir se esta é uma narrativa com efeito insólito ou não. Uma vez detectada a presença do insólito no texto por meio de uma sucessão de sinais deixados pela autora para provocar tal efeito, ainda que possam ser ambíguos, tais pistas estão lá, porque assim a autora os colocou e cabe ao leitor identificá-los.
