    O texto apresenta o conflito ocorrido entre uma vila de mineradores chamada Lavras do Abade e um arraial de fazendeiros chamado Meia Ponte no centro-oeste brasileiro. Primeiramente, são estabelecidas algumas estruturas e conjunturas sobre o contexto histórico e a historiografia do período e local. Segundo, o relato do conflito é recontado através da interpretação da documentação histórica sobre o evento. Por fim, é realizada uma análise sobre o conflito, e entre um nascente capitalismo estrangeiro em uma oligarquiaagrária regional no final do século XIX.

    The paper presents the conflict occurred between mining village called Lavras Abbot and camp of farmers called Half Bridge in central-western Brazil. First, set some structures and situations on the historical context and the historiography of the periodand location. Second, the story of the conflict is retold through the interpretation of historical documentation about the event. Finally, an analysis of the conflict is performed, and between a rising foreign capitalism in a regional “oligarquiaagrária”in the late nineteenth century
