This article aims to analyze the representation of Adventist woman during the years of World War II (1940-1945) in the Life and Health Magazine, a period highlighted by intense social change and world. The diversity of subjects depicted on the feminine universe, there is the section of the page Housewife that addresses the role of women in the mother-wife-homemaker in addition to being up an account of the domestic practices of mid-twentieth century. The editorial policyof the journal is grounded in the worldview of the denomination within a project proselytizing allowing us to analyze the feminine ideal Adventist to society.
Este artigo tem como objetivo a análise da representação da mulher adventista durante os anos da Segunda Guerra Mundial (1940-1945) na Revista Vida e Saúde, período destacado por intensas mudanças sociais e mundiais. Pela diversidade de assuntos retratados sobre o universo feminino, destaca-se a seçãoPágina da Dona de Casa que aborda a atuação feminina na relação mãe-esposadona de casa além de constituir-se um relato das práticas domésticas da metade do século XX. A linha editorial do periódico é embasada na cosmovisão da denominação dentro de um projeto proselitista o que nos permite analisar o ideal feminino adventista para a sociedade.
