Resumen de Analítica de aprendizaje para recomendaciones de diseño de un curso en moodle

  La investigación que se presenta tuvo como objetivo analizar las interacciones de los participantes con la plataforma del curso en línea Redacción de protocolos de investigación a través de un plan de analítica de aprendizaje con la finalidad de identificar áreas de oportunidad en su diseño instruccional. El curso fue implementado en Moodle un software de uso libre y gratuito. Se realizó un estudio de corte cuantitativo, no experimental, descriptivo. El muestreo fue no probabilístico, por conveniencia donde participaron alumnos del séptimo semestre de dos instituciones públicas de educación superior en el Estado de México, el primer grupo estudiantes de la carrera de ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales y el segundo de la licenciatura en Informática Administrativa. La pregunta a la cual se dio respuesta fue ¿Cuáles son los elementos de mejora de diseño instruccional que se pueden identificar a través de la aplicación de la analítica de aprendizaje en el curso Redacción de protocolos de investigación? Se sugieren mejoras en los apartados Presupuesto y Aspectos generales del curso. Para el proceso de analítica de aprendizaje se siguió el modelo propuesto por (Chatti et al., 2012) y se utilizó un plan de medición ejecutado en Google Analytics. Se sugiere para trabajos futuros implementar el seguimiento del curso con un mayor número de participantes y el plan de medición en otros cursos.

  The objective of the research presented was to analyze the interactions of the participants with the online course platform Writing research protocols through a learning analysis plan in order to identify areas of opportunity in their instructional design. The course was implemented in Moodle, a free to use software. A quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive study was carried out. The sampling was non-probabilistic, for convenience, where students from the seventh semester from two public institutions of higher education in the State of Mexico participated, the first group of students from the engineering degree in Computer Systems and the second from the degree in Administrative Informatics. The question that was answered was: What are the elements of instructional design improvement that can be identified through the application of learning analytics in the course Writing research protocols? Improvements are suggested in the Budget and General aspects of the course. For the learning analytics process, the model proposed by (Chatti et al., 2012) was followed and a measurement plan executed in Google Analytics was used. It is suggested for future work to implement the course monitoring with a greater number of participants and the measurement plan in other courses.
