    This paper studies Paul Morand’s literary cartography. In its three parts, I first deal with the concepts of cosmopolitism, internationalism, and patriotism, which framed Morand’s geopolitical design. Then, I show how the representations of Europe are arranged around the two typical axes: north/south and west/east. Finally, I detail the basic features of Morand’s image of the Mediterranean Sea and its role in the passing from modern to postmodern times.

    Cet article étudie la cartographie littéraire de Paul Morand. Dans ses trois parties, l’auteure présente d’abord les concepts de cosmopolitisme, internationalisme et patriotisme, qui encadrent la géopolitique morandienne; ensuite elle analyse la disposition des représentations de l’Europe autour des deux axes typiques Nord/Sud et Occident/Orient; enfin, elle détaille la morphologie de l’image morandienne de la mer Mediterranée et son rôle dans le passage de la modernité à la postmodernité.
