    Más de un siglo después del relato de George Sand que permitió al lector francés descubrir las Baleares, en los años 1960 tres autores de novelas juveniles optaron por situar sus intrigas en el archipiélago mediterráneo. En el corazón de un territorio marcado por el exotismo y lo pintoresco, las aventuras alimentan la imaginación y la cultura de los jóvenes lectores ampliándoles su horizonte. La literatura juvenil demuestra su doble vocación educativa y recreativa para desvelar un universo en el que realidad y ficción se entrelazan, sin descartar algunos estereotipos.

    More than a century after George Sand introduced the Balearics to the French reader, three youth literature novelists chose, at the turn of the 1960s, to situate their intrigues in the Mediterranean archipelago. At the heart of a territory marked by exoticism and the picturesque, adventures nourish the imagination and culture of young readers by opening new horizons. To reveal a universe where reality and fiction are intertwined, at the cost of a few stereotypes, this literature for youth attests to its dual educational and recreational purpose.
