Aproximación a una Primera Distribución Geográfica de los Colectivos Dedicados al Folklore en España

    Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio cuantitativo, realizado al estudiar las asociaciones dedicadas a preservar, mantener, difundir y salvaguardar la cultura tradicional, especialmente la danza tradicional, más conocida en nuestro país por los términos folclore, folclor o folklore. La danza tradicional, al ser una manifestación artística, forma parte del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial (PCI) siguiendo la Convención para la Salvaguardia del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial celebrada el 17 de octubre de 2003 en París por la UNESCO. El estudio trata de conocer la distribución geográfica de estas asociaciones e identificar cuáles son los términos más utilizados. Para ello se analizará el Registro de Asociaciones a nivel nacional del Ministerio del Interior con el fin de saber el número de ellas que a través de su denominación, se dedican al folklore.

    This article presents the results of a quantitative study which researched the associations dedicated to preserving, maintaining, disseminating and safeguarding traditional culture, especially traditional dance, better known in Spain by the terms folklore, folclore or folclor. Traditional dance, as an art form, is part of our Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICP), following the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage held on October 17, 2003 in Paris by UNESCO. The study tries to understand the geographical distribution of these associations and identify which are the terms most used by them. The study analyzes the National Registry of Associations of the Ministry of the Interior to find out the number of organizations that are dedicated to folklore.
