Valores de referencia de plomo en sangre y zinc-protoporfírina en la población general de Asturias

    Con objeto de investigar los valores normales de plomo en sangre y de zinc-protoporfirina en la pobla ción general de Asturias se han analizado 122 muestras (35 varones y 87 mujeres) de personas sanas y sin expo sición al plomo. Los valores medios encontrados han sido 17,6 |ig/dl de Pb en sangre total y 1,4 u. ZnPP/ g Hb.

    Las plumbemias obtenidas son más altas en varones que en mujeres (p < 0,001), mientras que para la zinc-pro toporfirina sucede al contrario (p < 0,05). No se obser va relación alguna de ambos parámetros con la edad y en tre ellos existe una baja correlación estadística.

    Lead and zinc-protoporphyrin reference levéis in blood were determined in 122 samples (35 males healthy and 87 healthy females not exposed to lead). The mean lead and zinc-protoporphyrin levéis observed were 17,6 (xg/dl and 1,4 |ig/g Hb respectively. No statistically significant differences were found for both parameters with the age of the corresponding subjeets. For blood lead, the valúes obtained were higher (p < 0.001) while the ZnPP valúes were lower (p < 0.05) in males. The correlation coefficient observed for the relationship between blood lead and blood ZnPP were rather poor.
