    Con el fin de reflexionar en torno al porqué del debilitamiento que sufren actualmente las Ciencias Sociales y Humanas, en este artículo abordaremos la relación que existe entre la educación y el mercado laboral para dar respuesta a la incógnita principal. Así pues, se abordará el tema de la educación desde la sociología y se discutirá brevemente sobre los nuevos horizontes del sistema educativo. En los últimos años las reformas educativas se han enfocado menos en la formación de individuos con conciencia social y sensibilidad artística y, por el contrario, se han enfocado cada vez más en satisfacer las necesidades del sistema económico. De tal modo, en el siglo XXI se promueven e incentivan los diversos perfiles académicos que se adapten a la demanda laboral, los cuales se han centrado principalmente en lo técnico y práctico, logrando con ello desmeritar en gran medida los estudios que descansan en el mundo de las ideas

    In order to reflect on the reason for the weakening suffered by the Social and Human Sciences, in this article we will address the relationship between education and the labor market to answer the main question. Thus, the issue of education will be approached from sociology and the new horizons of the educational system will be briefly discussed. In recent years, educational reforms have focused less on the training of individuals with social conscience and artistic sensitivity and, on the contrary, have increasingly focused on meeting the needs of the economic system. In this way, in the 21st century, the various academic profiles that adapt to the job demand are promoted and encouraged, which have focused mainly on the technical and practical, thereby achieving to a great extent demerit the studies that rest in the world of the ideas.
