    A partir del neolític (vuit mil anys abans d’ara) la major part de la població de l’Alta Garrotxa comença a viure de l’agricultura. El jaciment arqueològic de la Bauma del Serrat del Pont (Tortellà) és un bon testimoni de l’adaptació històrica a aquest modus vivendi. Però la introducció del ‘gas ciutat’ a mitjans dels anys 50 del segle passat va canviar radicalment aquesta forma mil·lenària de subsistència. En aquest article es posa de relleu la importància de disposar, per part de les comunitats neolítiques, d’uns bons coneixements sobre l’encesa de foc.

    From the Neolithic (eight thousand years before now) the majority of the population of the Alta Garrotxa start living from agriculture. The archaeological site of Bauma del Serrat del Pont (Tortellà) is a good witness to the historical adaptation to this modus vivendi. But the introduction of ‘town gas’ in the mid 50 century radically changed this ancient form of subsistence. This article highlights the importance of having, by the Neolithic communities, with good knowledge of the lighting of the fire.
