    La ley por la que se reforma la legislación civil y procesal para el apoyo a las personas con discapacidad en el ejercicio de su capacidad jurídica constituye una de las reformas más importantes del derecho privado desde la aprobación del Código Civil. El reto es especialmente importante para los notarios, a los que la reforma otorga un papel preeminente y una gran responsabilidad. Concretamente, se han de destacar dos cuestiones en las que la actuación de los notarios va a ser esencial: la actuación ante notario de las personas necesitadas de apoyo y la regulación de la propia discapacidad.

    The Law that reforms the civil and procedural legislation to support people with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity, constitutes one of the most important reforms of private law since the approval of the Civil Code. The challenge is especially important for notaries, to whom the reform gives a preeminent role and great responsibility. Specifically, two issues should be highlighted in which the action of notaries Will be essential: the action before a notaryof people in need of support and the regulation of their own disability.
