    El síndrome del túnel cubital es la neuropatía causada por compresión del nervio cubital a nivel del codo. A lo largo de su recorrido, este nervio puede verse comprimido en diversos puntos y por diversas estructuras, es a la altura del codo donde con mayor frecuencia sucede.

    Habitualmente, la lesión se encuentra en personas que realizan actividades que requieren una flexión de codo mantenida. En esta posición, la tensión y estiramiento del nervio se ven aumentadas derivando, si no se previene, en una neuropatía.

    El diagnóstico temprano puede influir significativamente en el pronóstico, así como el tratamiento en etapas todavía leves del síndrome.

    Cubital tunnel syndrome is neuropathy caused by compression of the ulnar nerve at the elbow. Throughout its way, this nerve can be compressed at different points and by different structures; it is at the elbow where it most frequently occurs.

    The injury, is usually found in people who perform activities that require sustained elbow flexion. In this position, the tension and stretching of the nerve are increased, leading, if no prevented, into neuropathy.

    Early diagnosis can significantly influence the prognosis, as well as treatment in still mild stages of the syndrome.
