Resumen de A veracidade das percepções claras e distintas: Uma análise da teoria epistemológica de descartes

  The present article examines the epistemological theory of Descartes and put in relation two apparently exclusionary theses each other. The first thesis argues that, while the knowing subject holds his attention to a clear and distinct perception, there is no possibility of the same to be false; the second affirms that to the force the hypothesis of malignant genius, one can not be sure not even of propositions that seem to be the most evident. Shown that the oscillation between undoubtedbility of a current evidence and the hyperbolic doubt engendered by the genius indicates that the truth of clear and distinct perceptions refers to the time and mode as they are perceived. Argued that the antagonism between these two theses is dissolved to the be borne in mind that the current evidence is founded on the pure intuition and knowledge who suffer interference imagination, sensible perception and memory can only achieve a degree of scientific certainty with proof of divine existence.

  O presente artigo examina a teoria epistemológica de Descartes e coloca em relação duas teses aparentemente excludentes entre si. A primeira tese defende que, enquanto o sujeito cognoscente detém sua atenção a uma percepção clara e distinta não há possibilidade alguma da mesma ser falsa; a segunda afirma que, ao vigorar a hipótese do gênio maligno não se pode ter certeza nem mesmo das proposições que pareçam ser as mais evidentes. Mostra que a oscilação entre a indubitabilidade de uma evidência atual e a dúvida hiperbólica engendrada pelo gênio indica que a verdade das percepções claras e distintas remete ao tempo e ao modo como são percebidas. Defende que o antagonismo entre essas duas teses se dissolve ao se ter presente que as evidências atuais são fundadas na intuição pura e os conhecimentos que sofrem interferência da imaginação, da percepção sensível e da memória, somente podem alcançar um grau de certeza científica com a prova da existência divina.
