    The Archivists Internship (1913-1918) and the Librarian-Archivist Course (1931-1936) were two moments of dissent when compared to the traditional training model instituted at the time. I intended to understand the emergence of these formative proposals, placing them into its context; to analyse its organization and functioning, the curricula and the faculty staff, as well as to evaluate its results. The curricula, while still characterised by the historicist perspective, already emphasised the technicality, being taught at the National Library and the National Archive by the employees of these institutions under the auspices of the Higher Inspectorate. These two experiences/dissents allowed the formation of a large number of professionals, in line with education at an international level.

    O Estágio de Arquivistas (1913-1918) e o Curso de Bibliotecário-Arquivista (1931-1936) constituíram dois momentos de dissidência face ao modelo tradicional de formação então instituído. Pretende-se compreender o surgimento destas propostas formativas, contextualizando-as na época; analisar a sua organização e funcionamento, o programa formativo, o corpo docente e verificar os resultados obtidos. Sob a égide da Inspeção Superior, lecionados na Biblioteca Nacional e na Torre do Tombo por funcionários destas instituições, os programas formativos, marcados ainda pela perspetiva historicista, evidenciam já um acentuar do tecnicismo. Duas experiências/dissidências, que permitiram a formação de um conjunto significativo de profissionais, em linha com o ensino ao nível internacional.
